ABOUT US

SUSTAINABILITY

Made slowly. Made to last.

At Silkana, sustainability begins with making fewer, better pieces.

Every bikini is handmade in Bali in small batches by skilled artisans using traditional crochet and macramé techniques that have been passed down through generations. Working this way allows us to produce thoughtfully, avoid unnecessary overproduction and support independent makers rather than large-scale manufacturing.

We intentionally create timeless collections instead of following fast-moving trends. Our hope is that every Silkana piece becomes part of many summers, worn, loved and kept for years.

01

SMALL-BATCH PRODUCTION

We produce in limited quantities, replenishing styles only when needed. This slower approach helps us reduce excess inventory while preserving the craftsmanship that defines every piece.

02

HANDMADE BY ARTISANS

Each bikini is created by hand over several hours. Crochet panels are individually crafted before being assembled and carefully inspected one by one. Because every piece is handmade, subtle variations may naturally occur, making each one unique.

03

THOUGHTFUL MATERIALS

We continually look for ways to improve our materials and production processes while maintaining the quality, comfort and longevity that define Silkana.

04

DESIGNED FOR LONGEVITY

We believe the most responsible garment is one you’ll continue to wear season after season. Rather than designing for a single summer, we create timeless silhouettes intended to remain part of your wardrobe for years.

Every piece carries a little of the island it was made on.
